Chi Zhang holds an M.Sc. in Biostatistics from McGill University and a B.Sc. in Computational Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. She has experience in optimization, network flow problems, and outlier detection in high-dimensional neuroimaging data using unsupervised machine learning methods. Her current research focuses on Bayesian disease mapping of COVID-19 using spatial mobility data in Montréal and Toronto. This work involves applying hierarchical Bayesian models to map disease risks, predict outcomes across demographics, and leverage advanced spatial interaction matrices to model urban mobility patterns.
